Accounting Manager Jobs

We are recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join a long-standing consulting firm with a great reputation based in the Folsom area. Salary range: $90,000/yr.-$110,000/yr.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare internal financial statements.
• Supervise and train staff.
• Collaborate with Claims Division for the purposes of billing, account analysis, claim payments and other related functions involving both claims and accounting operations.
• Oversight of Trust Accounts funding levels.
• Serve as liaison between vendors and clients
• Generate and validate reports necessary to compute client invoices.
• Responsible for following up on any payments, reports, or other items that are not received in a timely manner from customers.
• Provide assistance and training to other departments on accounts payable processing, as necessary.
• Monthly closing of corporate books.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations; maintain necessary records and logs, including state and federal taxes.
• Oversight, research, and prepare accounts receivable journal entries; reconcile and post cash receipts; prepare deposits, direct coding, and GL management.
• Ensure data entry functions are completed for all accounting activities.
• Supervise accounts payable functions, including annual preparation of 1099’s.
• Supervise check and travel authorization reconciliations.
• Billing (creating/reviewing/applying contracts)
• Supervising Accounting staff of 3.
• Create and distribute client invoices.
• Act as backup to Accountant.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 3-5 years of experience supervising, training and directing staff is a must/
• 5 years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping direct experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment is essential.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Economics or the equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles.
