Job Description
OnScent is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with expertise in NetSuite to join our finance team in Norwood, NJ. As an Accounting Manager, reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations and financial reporting processes, with a focus on leveraging NetSuite to optimize efficiency and accuracy. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, implementing and improving accounting procedures, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, extensive NetSuite knowledge, and excellent leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close processes. Utilize NetSuite to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain the integrity of the financial data. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company guidelines. Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, providing insights into financial performance and trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and profitability. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives leveraging NetSuite functionalities, streamlining workflows, and enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes. Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial audits and tax filings, collaborating with external auditors and tax professionals as required. Provide guidance and mentorship to the accounting team, promoting professional development and fostering a high-performance culture. Stay updated on accounting principles, standards, and industry best practices, and ensure adherence to changes in regulations and reporting requirements. Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as requested by senior management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred. Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Strong expertise in working with NetSuite is essential. Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities. Proactive and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset and a focus on driving operational efficiency.
