Accounting Supervisor Jobs

This Lead Accounting position plays a key role on the accounting team, reporting directly to the CFO and providing supervision and leadership to lower level staff.

The Accounting Supervisor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist with A/P duties; receive, review, and verify invoices, POs, requests for payment, refunds, etc, and process and distribute payments
• Perform routine general ledger review and maintenance; enter and post financial data, prepare and approve journal entries, reconcile accounts, research errors and post corrections
• Assist with A/R duties; receive and post funds, prepare and process receipts, review and reconcile reports
• Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure compliance with approved policies and procedures
• Assist with annual closing and audit needs
• Supervise up to 5 staff
• Other tasks and duties as assigned
• Cross train on payroll processing

Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Supervisor:

• Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years similar experience
• Strong communication skills
