We are seeking talented accountant to join our corporate finance team.
How You'll Make An Impact

• Update depreciation and amortization schedules for loans, purchases and disposals of equipment
• Assist in preparing financial statements and run financial statement reports
• Reconcile bank account statements
• Assist in coding and depositing checks prior to processing
• Calculates commissions quarterly for business developers
• Assist with various other reports & uploads, as needed
• Provide backup to process retiree payroll & insurance payments
• Continuously review current processes and procedures for improved efficiencies
• Serve as a backup to accounts payable, as needed
• Process quarterly OH CAT Tax
• Prepares journal entries
• Process and prepare various state tax filings
• Process/file State of Michigan, Ohio, and Florida sales and use tax
• Prepare 1099’2 and PPT’s
• Prepare firm surveys
• Completes borrowing base reporting and quarterly loan covenant calculations

Your Desired Skills, Knowledge And Abilities

• Confidence in working with associates at all levels within the organization
• Ability to handle financial and other personal information in a confidential manner
• High degree of attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time
• Ability to maintain data and process transactions in appropriate software programs
• Demonstrates ability to handle financial and other personal information in a confidential manner
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• 2+ years of experience working in the accounting field
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• General understanding of accounting practices
• Ability to distinguish between debits & credits and different types of accounts
