Job Description
Position: Accounting Coordinator


Reports to: Director of Accounting


Classification: Seasonal, Full-time, Non-Exempt


Summary


Perform a variety of accounting and audit tasks in a timely and accurate manner, function effectively as part of an accounting team by demonstrating the ability and willingness to achieve department goals while remaining in compliance with all policies and procedures.


Essential Functions


  • Train as back up to company accounting tasks as required.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all data information related to specific job assignments and basecamp Hospitality in general.
  • Manage cash receipts from a variety of locations and in a variety of reporting formats.
  • Manage petty cash reimbursement process and reconciliations.
  • Do adjusting journal entries on all companies with no monthly physical inventory.
  • May balance fishing license accounts on a monthly basis at applicable locations.
  • Routinely assist with answering the phones.
  • Submit intercompany to A.P. for monthly reimbursement when needed.
  • Ensure bad checks are processed for collection in a timely manner.
  • Perform and/or manage a bank reconciliation process for all bank accounts.
  • Ensure that procedures are compliant and updated at all times.
  • Perform and or manage weekly revenue comparisons in a timely manner.
  • Assist with and perform any and all audit functions.
  • Have a "go-getter" attitude combined with an initiative to improve current processes in place.
  • Perform numerous G.L. tasks, including but not limited to generating and monitoring monthly recurring entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • May be responsible for solicitation and securing of 50-70 off-site sales outlets in the service area surrounding location.
  • Working with agency stakeholder groups to improve coordination on major holiday events, maintain reports and other correspondence as directed.


Qualifications


  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean 3-year history and no D.U.I. Convictions in the past ten years.
  • A.R., A.P., and or payroll experience is desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Some college-level accounting education is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience, which includes G.L. entries, bank reconciliations, petty cash, and cash receipts.
