Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a qualified Accountant to work with our division out of Centralia, WA. This person will be an integral part of the Centralia team and will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting for the division. The position will work closely with the Division Manager and Department Supervision within the operation.

About The Position

• Provide financial analysis as needed for special projects
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
• Perform the year-end close for the division, including all audit and tax schedules
• Responsible for all accounting of the Division, including financial statements, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and other analysis as needed
• Ensure that appropriate internal control measures are followed
• Work as a team member with company accounting staff and management
• Hire, train, and manage office staff
• Manage fixed asset accounting and reconcile fixed asset accounts
• Recognize when and how to be assertive when improvement opportunities arise

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or related field – CPA a plus
• Skilled in leadership and communication
• Understand appropriate discretion with confidential Company information
• Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve problems
• Preference given for work experience in manufacturing
• Progressive work experience in accounting preferred – a recent graduate with good work history may be considered

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $65,000 to $85,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
