Job Description

Job Title: Account Manager, Upland Label

About the position:The Account Manager is responsible for driving the sales of Upland Label products from beginning to end to new customers. This individual is the direct point of contact with the customer and is responsible for ensuring that the customer’s needs and expectations are met within the constructs of the Upland value proposition. The Account Manager must be proficient in all Upland products and services to guide the customers through the decision and purchase process.

Candidates would need to reside in the southeastern US to meet the needs of the position.

Account Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve existing customers and optimize wallet share.
  • Adjustsales tactics based on tests and new insights in the field.
  • Develop their own list of Prospect leads.
  • Resolve customer complaints and queries by utilizing internal sources (GM, CSPs, & Product Mgrs.)
  • Make recommendations and solve pains for the customer.
  • Stay abreast of and research customers’ individual or business purchase needs.
  • Conduct their own market research and stay abreast of competitor activity and landscape.
  • Acquire new customers (Prospects) by reaching out to provided leads.
  • Achieve monthly sales goals as determined by Executive Management.
  • Gather all critical data points and samples to facilitate accurate and efficient pricing response.
  • Utilize the company’s CRM system for all customer and prospecting interactions (HubSpot).

Desired Background and/or Experience:

  • Solution selling experience.
  • Experience prospecting and managing sales cycles of 3-6 months with proven ability to develop a pipeline of quality opportunities that match the company’s core competencies.
  • Business To Business and Retail Outlet Sales account management.
  • Collaborative sales approach leveraging internal resources to close new revenue.
  • High-Speed Label Applicating Equipment background/exposure preferred.
  • Prime Label Product Sales with a focus in Wine & Spirits, Food labeling, Lubricants & Engine Performance Additives, Commercial and Residential Cleaning Products and Pesticides, Private Labelers, Contract Packagers

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven Self-Starter and Individual Goal Setting attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, graphic design or other applicable major
  • Customer service and/or proven customer management/development skills
  • Proficiency in the following software:
  • Territory management/planning aptitude
  • Ability to meet deadlines and financial goals
  • Min 3 years of sales experience
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills
  • CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce.com, MS Dynamics, etc.)
