Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Contracts Administrator or a Contracts Administrator. This position will be located at our Aeronautics sector in Redondo Beach, CA.
The Selected Candidate Will Be Expected To Support One Of The Following Essential Functions
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Business Management functional group. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Business Management business unit.
  • Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
  • Lead proposal efforts for new procurements, which would entail RFP/RFQ
  • Perform contract execution tasks
  • Demonstrate the skill and ability to perform moderately complex contracts administration tasks, to include proposal preparation, the development of change orders and processing of inter-company work orders
  • Prepare bids; process specifications, progress, and other reports; advise management of contractual rights and obligations; compile and analyze data; and maintain historical information
  • Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts - Provide knowledge of the FAR and DFARs, general knowledge of pre and post-award federal government contracting industry practices, techniques, and standards
  • Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
  • Examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Contracts Administrator (A01)
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related degree.
  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
Basic Qualifications for a Contracts Administrator (A02)
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Master's or PhD) from an accredited institution; or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 2 years of Contract Administrator experience.
  • Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
  • Basic knowledge of DoD contracting acquisition process
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Pay Range
  • Associate Contract Administrator: $58,000.00 - $87,000.00
  • Contract Administrator: $70,200.00 - $105,200.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
