An Associate Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management Preferred

Helping train new personnel, verifying their capabilities and follow up they’re meeting expectations.

Must have excellent communication skills as the supervisory position requires interaction with many.

Must be knowledgeable and able to read plans, project specifications and follow the architect’s scope of work.

Department: Field Reports to: Project Manager/Director Field Operations

Occasionally working alongside and with those at the construction site to ensure that project standards are adhered to.

Knowledge of telecommunications OSP network design and construction experience or acceptable equivalent required

Assign and manage individual duties to the project construction team and staff.

Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of all projects to ensure on-time and under budget project completion.

Completes field serviceability and site survey requests including cost estimates.

Verify easements and assist in obtaining right-of-way agreements as applicable with system new build or rebuild projects.

May partner with design center, various sales associates, building owners, developers, local and state municipalities regarding projects.

Prepare and completes any necessary daily (DOCK), weekly/monthly and field operation reports.

Works with technical operations regarding system acceptance guidelines and associated paperwork.

Interacts with design center, various sales associates, building owners, and developers, local and state municipalities regarding projects.

Initiate and participate in Management of Change (MOC)/Post-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) processes

Competent skills and knowledge of the codes, standards, and regulations applicable to construction activities

Collaborate with Project Manager, Construction Manager, and engineering to develop pre-PSSR punchlist for EPC contractor.

Coordinate contractor bid process, selection, and contracting in conjunction with Project Manager, legal and procurement departments.

Manage asset commissioning in accordance with project schedule and budget.

5+ years of experience in gas plant operations, maintenance, commissioning or related field

Has full understanding of underground construction operations including; equipment used, labor skills, safe digging operations, OSHA requirements, etc.

Provide data and information to upper management on project status on an as needed basis

3+ Years' experience in underground/aerial utility construction, operating as a Foreman and/or Supervisor level required

1-2+ years' experience supervising underground utility and fiber installation construction crews preferred

Plans for, and directly supervises in house crews and subcontractors for various underground utility construction projects

Supports leadership team in ordering supplies, equipment's and materials for projects

Project Management Experience on a second-tier level desired

Assist with the preparation of preliminary zoning/permitting analyses in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.

1-2 years experience in Hybrid Fiber Coaxial and Construction.

Previous Outside Plant Construction Manager experience

Identify pole ownership, right of way and permit requirements for proposed routes

Strong and effective technical communication skills, both verbally and written.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word and Outlook
