Job Profile And Description

The construction supervisor is a professional representative of the company who fully understands all aspects of the construction trade. They must be able to properly lead the construction site and offer direction to both L&L Builders’ team members, as well as subcontractors working on the site. This person must promote a culture which revolves around strong communication, promoting teamwork and garnering trust and respect for all people at the job site.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Regularly focusing on safety and ensuring that all people at the job site adhere to set safety standards.
• Occasionally working alongside and with those at the construction site to ensure that project standards are adhered to.
• Ensuring that all reports, documents, records, timesheets, and invoices are completed properly and on time.
• Coordinating with subcontractors in order to get sufficient equipment and personnel necessary to complete the construction work on time.
• Use safety tool box talks weekly to help ensure that safety is both understood and adhered to.
• Completes construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling the job site; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff.
• The main responsibility of this position is to ensure that the construction work is completed safely, on time, within budget and falls within our company’s quality standards.
• Preparing schedules, assigning work to all construction personnel at the site and communicating with the superintendent and/or project manager as necessary to reduce any risks associated with the job.
• Determining work methods that result in improved efficiency and productivity in the work place
• Helping train new personnel, verifying their capabilities and follow up they’re meeting expectations.

Skills And Job Specifics

• Must be able to utilize and work with a computer.
• Must have excellent communication skills as the supervisory position requires interaction with many.
• Must have a comprehensive level of expertise in the construction industry.
• Must be knowledgeable and able to read plans, project specifications and follow the architect’s scope of work.
• Must be able to issue clear and concise directions to both L&L team members and subcontractors at the site.

Education And Qualifications

• A Minimum of 5 years in the Construction Field
• 10 hour OSHA course
• Strong driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• An Associate Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management Preferred
