Helping students develop, or recover, reliable communication skills so students can fulfill their educational, vocational, and social roles;

Knowledge and skills relative to the selection and use of augmentative communication devices to enhance a student's speech language skills;

Teaching students how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase their language skills to communicate more effectively;

Knowledge of the principles and practices of speech-language pathology as applied to children in the natural or school environment;

Deliver therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques and strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities.

Advocate for individuals with communication disabilities and work towards promoting inclusivity and accessibility.

Valid state license or certification to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification is highly desirable.

Proven experience in evaluating and treating individuals with various communication and swallowing disorders across all age groups.

Participate in promoting education within the department.

Demonstrates knowledge of special needs and behaviors of specific age groups to include neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Education: Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.

Licensure: Current licensure or eligible for licensure in applicable State of practice. Experience: one year of experience.

Preferred Experience: Experience in caring for patients of all ages preferred.

Perform initial assessment on each patient upon receiving referral. Document all information according to departmental policies and procedures.

Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities

2 or mores years of speech analytics experience

Experience with CallMiner or a similar software

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Speech Therapist Part Time Weekends Days Position Summary

Required: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders

Preferred: Competency in performing modified barium swallow exams

Required: State Licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA

School Speech Therapy Position for this upcoming school year!

Work on a school schedule- 7.5 hours/day total of 37.5/hours week

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Pediatric Physical Therapist.

Knowledge and expertise in evaluating and treating various pediatric conditions, including developmental delays, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, and genetic disorders.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.

Implement appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques.

Demonstrate knowledge of student’s privileges and responsibilities in the behavior program.

1 year(s): Experience providing speech-language therapy services

Plan and conduct assessments, as well as record and interpret data.

Monitor and revise treatment plans as needed and communicate with all team members involved to ensure the effectiveness of services provided.

Plan, implement, and adapt speech-language therapy activities.
