Pediatric Physical Therapist Jobs

Nora B, PT is seeking an experienced and flexible Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our growing team. As a Pediatric PT, you will work closely with infants, children, adolescents and their families to help them improve their physical abilities, maximize functional independence, and enhance overall quality of life. Responsibilities:

• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and appropriate referrals.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of pediatric patients, primarily ages 0-3, to assess their physical abilities, limitations, and functional goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports accurately and timely.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions with a play-based approach, while integrating caregivers for effective HEP carryover.
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric physical therapy through continuing education and professional development.
• Monitor patient progress, track outcomes, and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.

Qualifications:

• Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Valid CA state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Experience with NDT, DMI, CME and other handling techniques and/or continuing education coursework in those same fields.
• Knowledge and expertise in evaluating and treating various pediatric conditions, including developmental delays, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, and genetic disorders.
• Proficient in designing and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions with the flexibility to modify in the moment based on patient response.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Pediatric Physical Therapist.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in learning, acknowledging areas of potential growth and ability to teach caregivers, and share new and updated research with staff.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and typical developmental milestones, as well as atypical patterns.
• Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
