We are hiring a House person to assist in our Housekeeping Department

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience in similar capacities: lodging, housing, hospitals, care facilities all helpful, not mandatory.

Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.

Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 30 pounds.

Must be able to stand for up to eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, climb, kneel.

Must be able to see and hear.

Housekeeping/laundry experience preferred. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in repetitious and fast paced environment.

Cleanliness: Responsible for cleaning hotel public spaces. Stocks housekeeping supplies and linen. Responsible for delivering housekeeping related items to guest rooms.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 pounds on a consistent basis throughout shift.

Perform general cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting in designated areas such as hallways, stairwells, and public spaces.

Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.

Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Previous basic cleaning experience preferred, not required.

Completely clean the exterior of each cabins entrance. Ensuring all deck furniture, windows, and lighting are cleaned and guest ready.

Clean and reset all fireplaces, restocking firewood, kindling and fire starters.

Deliver Linen bundles to each home that is vacating based upon occupancy.

Re-stock all cabin housekeeping closets daily after stripping the home to ensure a proper linen par is available for housekeepers needs.

Report to work on time and in complete uniform, including name tag, as prescribed by your Supervisor.

Restock linen rooms in assigned area per the par established by the Executive Housekeeper.

Clean stair wells, including stair railing, and vending areas in assigned area.

Empty trash from Room Attendants carts and replace trash bag on a timely basis.

Perform minor room maintenance and repairs.

Complete on-the-spot cosmetic maintenance as part of daily room inspections.

Maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of public areas and corridors of the hotel

Basic cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal etc.

Assist with laundry & guest room cleaning as needed

Driving the hotel shuttle van

Deliver linen, terry and other guest room supplies to housekeepers.

All layouts are provided by event centre manager, and ample time is allocated for the turnover of meeting rooms.

Position is responsible for assisting with the turnover of meeting space, including layout setup, breakdown, and cleaning.

There are occasions where turnover windows are shorter, and assistance is provided in said circumstances.

Some shifts worked in adjoining TownePlace Suites Marriott hotel, doing general public cleanliness duties

Lift up to 45 lbs

Follow a checklist and be thorough in it's completion

Must provide courteous and friendly service to all staff and guests.

Maintain the cleanliness of all areas assigned.

Sign for beepers, keys and port-a-vac for assigned areas.

Check with supervisor for any area needing specific attention.

Check elevators and tracks to ensure cleanliness.

Maintain linen and supply inventories in linen rooms.

Ability to anticipate the needs of the guests and acknowledge their requests

Clean and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and public areas of the hotel.

Clean and maintain the back of the house area.

Deliver housekeeping items (hair dryers, ironing boards, irons, etc.) to guest rooms upon request from the front desk.

Get assignments, keys, pager, and special guest requests from your supervisor at the beginning of your shift.

Check and replenish your supplies and cleaning tools.
