Electrical Cad Designer Jobs

Designer should have experience in the preparation of drawings and specifications relating to electrical design of industrial, commercial, and multi-family facilities

Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment

Candidate should be fluent in Revit and Microsoft software; training can be provided if necessary

5+ years related and progressively more responsible experience in Electrical Engineering field.

Review and/or establish project scope, electrical budget, and design approach

Perform lighting calculations and circuit loading calculations

Participate in coordination of meetings with design team members and clients

Complete energy code compliance documentation using US DOES ComCheck software

At Least three (3) years of Autocad design experience

One year of Revit Design Experience

Exposure to NEC and electrical design requirements

3+ years of relevant P&C design experience in substations

Basic knowledge of electrical distribution design principles in both overhead and underground applications.

Participate in the development and preparation of conceptual designs and layouts

Under limited supervision, coordinate and prepare schematic design, design development and construction documents

Assist in spatial coordination with architecture and other engineering systems

Technical school education with CAD or Associate Degree in Drafting.

Experience with Smart 3D and SmartSketch is a plus.

Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Complete detailed design drawings for electrical distribution and control systems.

Create Electrical drawings for site construction activities.

Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards

2+ years of experience as an electrical engineering designer/drafter

Create detailed electrical design drawings using Revit software

Work closely with electrical engineers to ensure the accuracy of drawings

Ensure that drawings comply with industry standards and codes

Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to ensure that designs are effective and efficient

Minimum 0-3 years of experience in an Engineering/Designing role.

Basic computer skills using Oracle, Word, Excel.

Intermediate to advanced Drafting/CAD skills.

Working knowledge of electrical design and circuitry.

Design custom/semi-custom products to meet customer electrical specifications.

Check and create intermediate to advanced wiring diagrams.
