Youth Program Specialist Jobs in Texas

Be a resident of Prince George's County, Maryland

Be between the ages of 18-22 at the time of application

Minimum of a 2.5 grade point average or better (transcript must be attached)

Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for program participants

Engage and facilitate in group projects with other youth

Assist summer staff in Summer program and fieldtrips

Organize daily events and other activities for youth

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Ensure the youth center and other facilities used are neat and clean at all times; ensure that all

Skill in effectively meeting with and dealing with the general public

Skill in working with automated library systems

Skill in composing and drafting letters, memoranda and other correspondence

Strong organizational skills, good interpersonal skills and supervisory skills

Must provide own safe automobile for transportation in carrying out job duties

Assisting patrons with computer use and printing

Manage and plan for the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) meetings and activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

PRCS, 742 Miller Dr, Leesburg, VA

Develop and promote programs for teens.

Coordinate special events and logistics, including event promotion.

Operates a passenger vehicle as necessary.

Monitors grantees to ensure compliance with the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration's Policy 22 requirements.

Substitution of Education for Experience:

Applicants for this class must be willing to travel locally, regionally and statewide to meet specific job requirements.

Trains grant recipients on new programs, policies, grant requirements, and other children's issues.

Personal Computer Including Skill with Microsoft Office Suite

Coordinates regional and local efforts between public and private service providers to enhance services for children and youth.

Previous experience in immigration law, case management, or social services is preferred.

Direct and assist clients in the acquisition of social services and benefits, including through referrals to the ICY Social Services Coordinator.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Candidates working toward completion of their bachelor’s will also be considered.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time and resources.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Perform a variety of technical, training, research, planning, policy, program assessment, and administrative activities for assigned programs.

Study and analyze programming and operations and prepares reports of findings and recommendations.

Provide high-level consultation and guidance by interpreting standards, policies, procedures, and regulations related to the program.

Monitor required performance and recommends appropriate action plans, changes, or improvements.

Identify training needs and conduct training as needed.

Analyze the application of and variations within programs and develop action plans to improve or strengthen programs.
