Youth Development Director Jobs in Iowa

5+ years program and/or people management experience working in an education or childcare environment

Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, problem solve and possess effective time management skills

Prior people AND program management experience

Develop, implement, and manage operating plans to promote program growth, program impact and safety for the YMCA.

Manage registrations, rosters, record keeping, etc.

Conduct pilots for new programs; develop plans and manage best practices through engagement of the staff team.

Supporting ongoing behavior management tools

Knowledge of Washington State early learning development and licensing requirements.

Provide reflective supervision to managers and their teams through regular on-site visits by delivering consistent communication, collaboration, and coaching.

Creates community partnerships by networking to optimize program offerings as well as recruiting strategies and other program needs.

A demonstrated willingness to continue professional growth in education, childcare and leadership acumen.

Strong communication, and collaboration skills, must be willing and able to utilize various forms of communication.
