Offer gentle mindful movement, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, mindful meditation, and stress-reduction techniques.

Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience specifically to Mental Health Inpatients in a Veterans Affairs Hospital setting.

Certification in the area of Chronic Pain, Trauma, and Mental Health.

Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position must meet the following qualifications:

Conduct 11 hours per week of Hatha-based Yoga Therapy sessions for 52 weeks.

Provide Yoga Therapy specifically designed for Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) beneficiaries.

Demonstrate command of the discipline and skill in presenting it effectively in the context of an integrated education.

Maintain current professional certification and licensure requirements within the specific discipline.

Demonstrated commitment to the use of innovative instructional techniques and technologies and the use of course management systems.

Maintain professional practice knowledge base and clinical expertise needed to help learners prepare for contemporary occupational therapy practice.

Use current research findings and scholarly works in Occupational therapy to improve Occupational therapy education and practice.

Promote professionalism by modeling and encouraging professional behaviors inside and outside the educational setting.

Solid communication skills and inventory management skills

Proven work experience in a warehouse setting

Good working knowledge of warehouse data systems

Receive raw materials and organize by RM code

Maintain inventory of raw materials

Inspect raw materials and report any damages

Previous fitness or wellness studio management experience, or similar experience.

Teach and sub yoga classes as needed at home gym(s)

Create sub protocol and manage scheduling system

Must hold a current Yoga Teacher Training certification with Yoga Alliance

3+ years of Yoga Instructor instructor experience.

5+ years of yoga instructor experience

Knowledge of alignment and ability to teach in a way for all learning styles

Certified Trainer or 200hr Yoga Training (with experience teaching group fitness classes)

Outgoing personality with a strong desire to provide excellence in the client’s experience

1+ years teaching experience preferred

Strong verbal skills (proficient in speaking and understanding English)

Compensation: Class rate varies on experience/ability/formats.

Yoga Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)

Group fitness: 1 year (Preferred)

200-hour Yoga Alliance approved training (Required)

Pay: $20.00 - $80.00 per hour

Friday mornings for yoga at 7:30am-8:30am in Napili, Maui.

•All levels flow classes , comfortable teaching beginners and a lighthearted flow

•$20/ Complete a training class

Provide guidance and feedback to student throughout their practicum delivery experience. This can be done in person or remotely.

Review practicum delivery documentation provided by student.

Evaluate student progress and performance following the standards set by the practicum instructor. Orientation will be provided.

Mentor must be a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) by the International Association of Yoga Therapists
