Overview A Wildlife Monitoring Technician is responsible for collecting data and conducting research on wildlife populations and habitats. They may work in a variety of settings, such as national parks, wildlife refuges, and private lands. They may also be employed by universities, research organizations, and government agencies. Detailed Job Description Wildlife Monitoring Technicians are responsible for collecting data on wildlife populations and habitats. This includes conducting surveys, monitoring wildlife behavior, and collecting samples. They may also be responsible for analyzing data and preparing reports. They may work in a variety of settings, such as national parks, wildlife refuges, and private lands. They may also be employed by universities, research organizations, and government agencies. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of wildlife biology and ecology
• Knowledge of wildlife monitoring techniques
• Ability to identify wildlife species
• Ability to use scientific equipment

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology, ecology, or a related field
• Experience working with wildlife
• Knowledge of wildlife monitoring techniques
• Ability to use scientific equipment
• Ability to work in remote locations
• Valid driver’s license
Job Knowledge
Wildlife Monitoring Technicians must have a thorough knowledge of wildlife biology and ecology. They must also be familiar with wildlife monitoring techniques and be able to identify wildlife species.
Job Experience
Wildlife Monitoring Technicians should have experience working with wildlife. This may include experience conducting surveys, monitoring wildlife behavior, and collecting samples.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct surveys and collect data on wildlife populations and habitats

• Maintain records and databases
• Assist with research projects
