Wellness And Health Promotion Director Jobs in Iowa

Assists with development of public health emergency management and pandemic plans.

Works collaboratively with health and wellness and emergency management colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Public Health Management and Compliance

Monitors active and emerging public health trends, manages associated data, and provides recommendations to campus leaders.

Creates, develops and manages public health operations.

Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health education and health promotion strategies for ISU students, faculty, and staff.

Master’s degree in public health, higher education, student development or related disciplines or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and respond quickly and effectively to challenges.

Experience (typically 3-5 years) working with health promotion initiatives at an institution of higher education involving students.

Experience working in higher education setting.

Experience (typically 3-5 years) leading health promotion initiatives.

Demonstrated working knowledge and proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and various social media applications.

4. Leads departmental operations, including budgets, compliance, and contract and staff management.

5.Provides strategic oversight and management of the organization’s high priority partners and networks opportunities.

9. Knowledge of public health communication best practices to influence behavior and intention to change.

**Travel Required: 20% of the time**

2. Leads and integrates strategy work, as it relates to community health, by operationalizing strategic efforts.
