Communication with the Project Manager, fabrication shops, contractors, and other third parties to resolve schedule issues;

Ensure that the services provided are performed in accordance with the project requirements and contract with the client;

Ability to work remotely from the established Bureau Veritas offices;

A WORLD LEADER IN TESTING, INSPECTION & CERTIFICATION SERVICES

Communicate information from the fabrication facility regarding upcoming assignments and potential work that Bureau Veritas could perform; and

Maintain a positive relationship between Bureau Veritas, the fabrication facility, and the client

Monitor contractors audit process is in compliance with audit schedule requirements.

Verify that contractor maintains document control and radio graphic film archiving which is acceptable to contract requirements.

Extensive training and experience in welding and radiography film interpretation.

Current certifications as AWS CWI and ASNT Level II or Level III inspector.

Knowledge of standards for equipment, materials and construction methods.

Ten years experience in process pipe welding, fabrication and film interpretation

Required Qualifications - Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Performs examinations, inspections, or tests as required by project management and/or client/owner.

Provides technical assistance to project management in selecting optimum construction procedures and/or techniques to meet project specifications.

Coordinates examination, inspection, and test plans with project management and client representatives.

Minimum of 3 years experience

Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors

Have a basic understanding of welding techniques, positions, consumables, weld preparation, drawing requirements, and maintain a detailed inspector's logbook

Assure any design changes or material substitutions are discussed with the Construction Manager, Chief Inspector, and proper Company approval is obtained

Verify all materials used in the installation comply with Company requirements

Weld Inspector may be assigned additional duties and responsibilities relating to pipeline construction inspection observation and documentation

Ensure compliance with all project-specific environmental requirements

Obtain Operator Qualification (OQ) status as required by the project

Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.
