Journey-level technician with 10+ years’ experience in heavy equipment repair industry

Strong background and hands-on experience in Li-ion battery fabrication, electrochemistry, and mechanics of composites.

Highly motivated, independent, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.

Ph.D. Position in Li-ion Battery Fabrication and Composite Characterizations

A Master's degree (or equivalent) in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Proficiency in various characterization techniques related to composite materials (e.g., SEM, TEM, XRD, FTIR, etc.).

Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, production management, mechanical engineering, etc.

Responsible for compliance with safety and housekeeping requirements.

Provides training, support, direction and guidance to department personnel to continually develop their work habits, job skills and safety practices.

5 years minimum supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Computer literate with experience using e-mail and word processing applications (Microsoft Office).

Ability to learn and understand software and complete transactions pertaining to fabrication or welding operations, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Explains and models effective study habits such as note-taking, use of course materials, time management and test preparation.

Knowledge of the content area and skill in applying the principles and practices of the area of assignment.

Knowledge of and skill in implementing appropriate curriculum activities and materials.

Compensation: $16-18 depending on experience

Read/understand production drawings – specification.

Do own quality checks during fabrication.

Ability to measure and transfer drawings into production units.
