Weld Engineer Jobs

Problem analysis skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), CAD (Catia, and AutoCAD), time management

No experience required if degree obtained

Associates in Engineering (Electrical / Robotics) or Manufacturing Engineering; or 6 years relevant experience with no degree

Support the development of and justify solutions to complex problems.

Support the review and approval of Mechanical design and specifications

Associate degree, technical certificate or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment

Skilled with the use of a variety of hand and portable tools.

Do regular/rigorous cleaning of equipment, keep them clean, neat and charged

Take charge of the area while also maintaining 5S's of Lean

Perform torque test on bolts and nuts using a torque wrench or push out tests.

Execute experiments and analyze data under the direction of process engineers.

Knowledge and experience with agricultural equipment or other off highway machinery

Strong communication skills with experience solving technical problems

Experience with software programming languages and/or ML familiarity

Experience in one or more related engineering areas: electrical, software programming, troubleshooting, design, quality, and manufacturing

Manufacturing Factory hands on experience

Strong organizational and planning skills

Measures and verifies weld dimensions, joint configurations, and alignments against specified requirements.

Participates in welder qualification testing and assessment of welding procedures to ensure they meet required specifications.

1-3 years in weld inspection or related experience preferred. (Ie. Welding)

Knowledge of industry standards including AWS, ASME, API.

Knowledge of TIG, MIG, laser, butt, and arc welding techniques.

Must pass a post-employment offer drug screen and background check.

Experience with Engineering Change Management.

Assist in investigating design and manufacturing factors such as equipment or part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and large assembly management.

Champion demand management objectives such as the review and management of Integrated Parts Lists.

Bachelor's degree from a related discipline (Mechanical/Aerospace/Materials Engineering) or equivalent experience/combined education.

Experience with technical writing and strong communication skills.

Intermediate experience in the review of engineering drawings.

Experience in a high school welding program, or

Experience in a technical or trade school welding program.

Welding metal parts with gas welding equipment as specified by blueprints.

Positioning parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.

Examining welds for bead size and other specifications.

Any other reasonable request made by management.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Three (3) years or more experience in field, preferably with an automotive supplier.

Assist in managing welding procedure qualifications and generating welding procedures to help the manufacturing and welding teams.

Experience with ISO9001 Quality System rules, regulations, including planning and implementation. Also, NAVSEA and ASME experience preferred.

PC-based computing experience (word processing-Word, spreadsheet-Excel, presentation- PowerPoint, documentation s/w, statistical software) essential.
