Water Systems Supervisor Jobs in Arizona

Manages delivery of contract operations, maintenance, and /or repair services to County owned Water Systems.

Plans, organizes, and coordinates assigned activities relating to the operation, maintenance and preventative maintenance, extensions and improvement of the Water Systems.

Prepares plans, specifications, and estimates for public works construction projects.

Prepares and maintains accurate records, correspondence, technical, and narrative reports relative to a range of water system activities.

Monitors compliance under County water connection agreements; monitors eligibility of Water System water allocations.

Provides information to the public, contractors, engineers, developers, and representatives of other governmental agencies; coordinates activities of contract operators.

An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may substitute for the educational and work experience requirements on a year-for-year basis.

Apprenticeship training in these areas will be considered toward the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements:

Completion of two years of college level coursework from an accredited educational institution.

Five years of experience in water/wastewater treatment, telemetry, water/wastewater maintenance, automated utility systems, or water/wastewater control systems.

Preferred: College level coursework in electronics, telemetry, information systems or water/wastewater technology from an accredited educational institution.

Five years of responsible experience in water utilities including treatment plant management, operations, maintenance, engineering, and construction activities.

Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
