Water Resources Department Junior Engineer Jobs in Georgia

Other Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Certification; or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

0 to 5 years of water resources experience

Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of CAD software such as Microstation or AutoCAD

Work mostly indoors. Occasionally work outdoors in remote or urban environments

Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, ISO9001 quality management systems;

Technically proficient in Water Resources Management and various surface water modeling platforms with a comprehensive background in Civil Engineering;

Delivery of local projects in accordance with sound Project Management principles (i.e., maintain project quality, schedule and budget); and

Experience as a Project Manager;

Demonstrable commitment to HSE management; and

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

BA/BS plus 2 years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

Experience designing storm drainage systems, hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analysis, bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, construction plans development, cost estimates.

Experience using the following software: Bentley MicroStation, Bentley Open Roads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraulic Toolbox

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
