Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
The individual must perform all essential functions on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers, and suppliers.
Manage projects under aggressive time and dollar constraints
Skilled in multiple quality tools and systems. (Six Sigma, Root Cause, Lean, 5S, TQM, ISO, for example)
Superior communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships at multiple levels to work cross-organizationally toward solutions

This includes overseeing the plant’s operations, maintenance, and safety, as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The Wastewater Plant Manager is also responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the plant’s efficiency and effectiveness. Detailed Job Description The Wastewater Plant Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of a wastewater treatment plant. This includes overseeing the plant’s operations, maintenance, and safety, as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The Wastewater Plant Manager is also responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the plant’s efficiency and effectiveness.

The Wastewater Plant Manager is responsible for:

• Developing and implementing operational plans and procedures for the plant
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations
• Overseeing the maintenance and repair of the plant’s equipment and systems
• Supervising and training staff
• Monitoring the plant’s performance and making necessary adjustments
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve the plant’s efficiency and effectiveness
• Ensuring the safety of the plant’s personnel and the public
• Maintaining records and preparing reports
Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulations
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations and management
• Certification in wastewater treatment plant operations (preferred)
