Warehouse Industrial Engineer Jobs

Lean Tools knowledge (SMED, Kanban, Poka-yoke, JIT, VSM, etc.)

Experience working with time studies and labor quotations

Demonstrate full experience in cell design and material flow

Develop and implement Lean manufacturing initiatives

Prepare cost estimates and budget requests for senior management approval

Technical project management and implementation

5+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering experience with emphasis on layout and material flow

BS or MS Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and/or equivalent experience.

Experience quantitatively solving ambiguous problems at a systems level.

Extensive detailed analysis experience to make data-driven decisions and summarize results for executives.

Firm project management skills, including developing project plans, timelines / schedules, budgets, proposed layouts, resource requirements, calculating ROI, etc.

Practical knowledge of the lean tool box and ability to utilize lean principles to reduce waste.

Demonstrated knowledge of the logistics best practices.

Knowledge of different types of bills of materials between engineering and production.

BS in Industrial Engineering (or comparable) or 4+ years of field experience

Preparing standardized work instructions, floor layouts, and material storage configurations.

Develops processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.

Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending informative workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.

Maintains product and company reputation by aligning with government regulations.

Identify and solve problems in manufacturing processes and business processes, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Conduct studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization, documenting observations in written work instructions and standard work.

Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety through effective factory industrial design.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve labor productivity and efficiency, including scoping and facilitating kaizen events.

Develop and implement quality control measures in collaboration with the Quality team.

Assist in the development and maintenance of a work scheduling and measurement system.

Materials management (warehousing, transportation, logistics) experience desirable.

Establish and maintain labor standards, lead times and capacities/capabilities for manufacturing and ancillary processes.

Experience with Engineering change processes, from requests through implementation is required.

Experience with Drawings and engineering/manufacturing bill of materials is required.

Experience with Lean/Six Sigma Manufacturing methodologies for waste reduction and their application in a manufacturing environment is required.

Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP desirable).

1+ years experience Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel

Experience in an AS9100 or ISO9001 production environment

4 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer

Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience warehousing, distribution center or fulfillment experience

Redline and report any discrepancies to engineering firm/LNB Quality Control Manager

Minimum of 2 years warehouse/shop experience

Experience using a variety of both hand and motorized tools and machinery is essential

Excellent communication skills keeping an open line of communication with those who need to be informed

Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft programs with specific proficiency with Excel

Basic knowledge of proper rigging safety

Develop management control systems to make financial planning and cost analysis more efficient

Design production planning and develop management control systems to coordinate activities in order to ensure that products meet quality standards

Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management in a positive, professional manner

Knowledge of the ways various systems interact and how changes in operations, production environment and other conditions will affect outcomes

Review production schedules, process flows, and other information, devising ways to minimize and resolve production issues

Create systems and review production to ensure all processes maximize efficiency
