·B.A. in social services or minimum 2 years’ experience working with community violence victims.

·Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and verbal).

·Respond to incidences of community violence within one hour

·Visit to crime scenes, a victims' home, hospitals, and other health care settings to provide support.

·Provide trauma-informed counseling with victims and families.

·Connect/refer families to appropriate services and supports in the community

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum of 3 years of technical solutions experience, such as network infrastructure, collaboration and/or security (preferred)

Prior experience selling services and solutions

Prior experience interfacing with the C-Suite and/or Director level personnel

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

You will provide 24/7 support for victims? immediate needs, assess all safety concerns, provide victim information on resources that are available.

Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.

Knowledge of principles of caseload management, record keeping, and records management.

Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations related to victims' and/or witnesses' rights and the criminal justice and/or court system.

Direct Service and Advocacy (25 Hours)

• Provide accompaniment to court appointments.

• Provide crisis counseling and domestic violence awareness counseling.

• Provide information and assistance with the Address Confidentiality Program.

Knowledge and experience in Criminal Justice System or direct victim services a plus;

Participate in Outreach and Public Awareness Education as required;

Excellent writing and communication skills;

Provide information and assistance to victims regarding their right to provide a Victim Impact Statement to the court;

Compliance with the Victim Bill of Rights pursuant to M.G.L c. 258B including notification of all court hearings, postponements and continuances;

Maintain ongoing communication with Assistant District Attorneys on mutual cases regarding case status, victim concerns and input;

At least 1 year of case management experience

At least 1 year of experience overseeing case managers

At least 1 year of victim advocacy experience

Provide/Identify referrals and resources to victims and their families.

Provide information and updates on cases to victims’ families.

Ensure all services provided are empowerment-based and victim-focused.

Core 40 Victim Advocate Certification

Assists and advocates for victims in initial reports of potential victimizations prior to and during forensic interview process.

Assists victims and non-offending care givers in assessing immediate and potential long term needs.

Education and/or experience which is equivalent to \"1\" above.

Experience working with crime victims preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required.

Possess strong organizational skills and ability to handle high caseload.

Thorough knowledge of: Crime victim advocacy, criminal justice system procedures and methods; post-traumatic crisis intervention; recordkeeping techniques.

Experience in program evaluation, conducting needs assessments, developing, and enhancing community collaborations.

Have knowledge of the State of Florida and Statutes, and policies impacting victims’ rights and options.

Accompany clients to legal and medical appointments as related to their experience with sexual violence.

Assist clients through the process of filing for injunctions for protection through the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Have knowledge of and comply with the policies and procedures of the Crisis Center and all partnering agencies.

Bachelor’s degree in social work, mental health, or other social sciences-related fields, and one year of advocate and/or crisis counseling experience.
