Vehicle Systems Engineer Jobs

Regular and proactive communication to management of project issues, delays, risks with potential solutions and needed resources.

5 years of OEM or Tier 1 experience, preferably on HEV, PHEV, or BEV platforms.

Familiarity with High Voltage EE system development and vehicle integration.

Develop necessary engineering interface documentation (including device transmittals, BOMs and harness schematics) and PLM documentation (including DFMEA, PFMEA, and DVP).

Lead the Design and Release process of high voltage and low voltage electrical system and related components

Work with suppliers to ensure that electrical component specifications, design quality and timing expectations are met.

2+ years’ experience as Product/Quality Engineer, in electrical/software environment

3+ years’ experience as Product/Quality Engineer, in electrical/software environment

Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Experience working in GSAR/JIRA/BSAQ/QED/SREA and WERS.

Good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work well with people, specifically in assembly plant environment

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Software Engineering or closely related field

Perform analysis and decomposition of system and subsystem requirements, maintains requirement configuration control.

Applies basic technical knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve assigned routine engineering problems.

Previous experience using DOORs, MagicDraw is desired.

Supports design and development of space system, segment and satellite subsystem design, integration and test.

Use SysML and Magic Draw to provide inputs to and develop system models for the complete system.

Dimensional Management and Understanding of GD&T required

Plan for design, procurement, assembly, and validation requirements that align with overall Project Timing, Stage Gate (APQP) and Mitigation Strategies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Portfolio) to assure vehicle designs account for all requirements.

Participate in design reviews to assure all vehicle conversions are developed and engineered to meet or exceed requirements.

Mechanism Design knowledge is a most, expertise preferred, and how to integrate it into the design, considering all Tolerances involved.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering or Chemistry and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability

Address all areas of category management including category business plans, global market and pricing analysis and procurement support
