User Research Scientist Jobs in Iowa

Support the user research function within the product management team, including hiring, coaching, and mentoring a team of researchers.

Manage relationships with external research vendors and partners, including scoping, budgeting, contracting, and quality control.

At least 2 years of experience in user research or market research, preferably in a consumer technology or software company.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.

Experience with consumer storage products, technologies, and markets is a plus.

Design and conduct user research studies, including interviews, surveys, usability tests, card sorts, diary studies, and ethnographic research, among others.

Attend seminars, training, and professional development workshops to enhance knowledge and technical skills.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

Maintain laboratory instrumentation and perform quality control checks on instrumentation. Contact contracted vendors for service and maintenance issues as needed.

Implement and maintain laboratory safety plans, consumable, and chemical inventories. Order chemicals and consumables as needed.

Assist the Core Director in the annual University Core Facility renewal process and annual budgeting.

In-depth knowledge and research experience in one of the following research fields: immunology, oncology, or virus-host interaction

2 - 5 years of industry experience with evidence of relevant publications

Strong data processing and analysis skills, with familiarity with R or Python language for data analysis being a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal communication skills are essential.
