Knowledge of trends, regulations, policies, and issues affecting teacher preparation or certification.

Experience: Four years of administrative or teaching experience in, or affiliated with, an education program.

Independently determine certificate eligibility based on the approved routes to certification as specified in regulation and policy.

Respond to inquiries, both written and oral, concerning certification questions/issues for certificate holders and applicants.

Assist with the creation and implementation of policies and procedures relating to the certification of educators in Maryland.

Experience in the assessment of credentials and in the interpretation and application of standards, regulations, and policies.

Assist the ALS safety manager with development and maintenance of the Work Planning and Control activities for biology work.

Under general supervision of the ALS safety manager, ensure all biological samples and biological work comply with applicable permits and approvals.

Assist with maintaining the ALS Chemical Inventory, including physical inventory and data entry.

Experience in biosafety and biological hazards

Demonstrated experience in DOE user facilities, DOE laboratories or a biology laboratory setting.

Knowledge of existing LBNL and/or ALS safety processes.

A minimum of three (3) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Assists with national education programs, such as Staff Academies and Contract Campaign Institutes, and the Online Leadership Academy...

Knowledge of adult teaching and learning techniques.

Knowledge of labor unions and organizing and political action drives.

Experience in union organizing desirable.

Provides follow-up training in the field for participants in training programs when appropriate.

1 year of Fiscal Grant Management experience

Knowledge of Federal and State Grant Regulations
