Used Car Technician Jobs

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, sales associates, and management.

Complete all work according to dealership applicable safety requirements and published procedures.

Actively participate in the Manufacturer's Certification Programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1+ years of operational/project management experience

Intermediate experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS office, Visio, Excel)

Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant professional experience

Background or knowledge of business/sales operations, ROI analysis, operational reporting/analytics, SQL

Routinely update project tickets, break projects down into deliverables, and complete projects by deadline

Actively participate in internal/external project prioritization calls, daily stand ups, sprint planning, business ops updates, SOPs, etc.

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers.

Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the machinist's trade.

Knowledge of the maintenance and repair of machine shop tools and equipment.

Candidates must pass a written exam to demonstrate knowledge.

PC skills, including all Microsoft Office programs.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

Valid state emissions and inspections licenses required

Must have your own tools

Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time

Physical ability to walk, bend, squat, reach, turn, twist, and make repetitive motions

Provide Manager with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements

ASE certifications preferred but not required

3+ years of automotive repair experience

Knowledge of tools and equipment required to preform all repairs

2 years minimum used car management experience required

Inventory control management is a must to help manage used car turn policy

Work directly with employees to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process; develop strong closing skills

Manage all other aspects of the used car sales department

Coordinate with our service departments to help manage the reconditioning process of used cars

Must have CRM experience and have the ability to desk deals

Manage all aspects of used car operations

Manage inventories - maintain appropriate wholesale inventory levels

Must have experience managing all aspects of used car operations

Experience at an Automotive School or Program

Prior dealership experience a plus

Diagnose mechanical issues, recommended and safety-oriented, and fix them correctly the first time

Administer multi-point inspections and warranty repairs

Service transmissions, air-conditioning, engine mounts, timing belts, and more

Replace radiators and head gaskets

Other duties to be determined by management.

At least 1 ASE certification, required

3+ years automotive technician experience, required

Oversee & Manage Sales Floor manager and their tasks & responsibilities.

Become familiar and efficient with all phases of computer systems required for sales management.

Manage the new vehicle inventory including ordering and dealer trades.

Help manage all other aspects of the sales department.

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Maintain manufacturer training certifications as well as specific & up- to - date knowledge on the product and services available

Obtain a high level of motivation and energy with strong customer service skills

Minimum of 3 years Automotive Service experience

Current ASE / MFG. certifications is a plus

Possess a strong desire for continuing education in area of responsibility
