Underground Projects Engineer Jobs

Management and administration of the Capital Management System (CMS) and capital process.

3+ years’ experience in project controls and scheduling, field/project engineering

Undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, a related discipline or relevant work experience.

Collaborate with the Project Engineer(s) and Project Manager(s) in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.

Pursue self-development outside of assigned responsibilities

5+ years of underground/tunnelling construction experience.

Effective oral and written communication skills

Work with Tunneling Group on high-profile projects, assisting in planning, organizing, and controlling various elements of the job.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Manage independent engineering or owner’s advisory projects including client interaction, ICF team organization, and project financials and reporting.

Experience with power system power flow modeling, dynamic transient stability modeling, transmission and distribution interconnection agreements a plus.

Experience with utility scale solar generation modeling, design, construction, operation, and/or development a plus.

Perform technology reviews for electrical equipment and systems for energy generation projects, including individual components, control systems, and system architectures.

Perform detailed technical research related to the electrical design of energy generation projects, critical component technology development, and manufacturing trends.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or other relevant related experience in Project Management or a related field.

Schedule development and management experience.

Leading, planning, and coordinate the study or implementation stages of projects, including the management of all functional areas.

Assisting with resourcing, procurement, contract management, and progress reporting

Advanced degree in engineering, construction management, earth science, rehabilitation, or project management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with computer system applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project

Knowledge of Process Safety Management/ OSHA requirements

Participating in procurement of design services and management of selected design firm

Five (5) or more years of professional project/design experience

Experience with design to check out

Act as the lead for electrical/controls work for assigned subsystems. Reviews progress & evaluate results.

Provide technical support for internal and external customers.

Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.

Work with site UG Operations, and Tech Services management staff.

Work with and manage consultants and contractors as required (Especially during the study phase).

3-5 years’ experience in Surface and or Underground Mining.

Knowledge of Mining, and Milling methods.

Knowledge of Engineering Techniques as they apply to Ore Body Evaluation and Mine Operations.

Strong analytical skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
