Manage the hiring process, which includes posting job vacancy announcements and managing eligible lists, TCI SharePoint onboarding, SFS offboarding, orientation reviews

Prepare and process status change transactions for Regional employees, as necessary

Provide guidance on time & attendance and leave issues

Assist with contract/disciplinary grievances for Regional Groups and Residencies, policy and contract interpretation

Management of Agency Compliance Programs

Support of Agency Performance Management Programs

Design, Development, and Delivery Training Curricula

Presents ideas, concepts, and information to participants

Replies to questions from participants regarding presented materials

Adjusts training based on participant or supervisor feedback

Property management including permitting, sign control, and disposition of state owned surplus property;

Providing guidance and support to the Regional Offices in the areas of appraisals and property valuations;

Responding to inquiries from the public and other State agencies;

Litigation and claims including assistance to the Regional Offices, NYSDOT Office of Legal Affairs, NYS Department of Law; and

Other assigned duties in support of the mission of the Office of Right of Way.

Occasional travel may be required.

Facilitate completions of assessments with the team (i.e., money management, bed safety determination, etc.).

Open to Public: To be eligible for appointment, candidate must possess a bachelor’s or higher-level degree in a human services field*

The plan will include the development of a current Individual Plan for Protective Oversight, as well as Personal Expenditure Plan

The plan will be reviewed monthly and documentation regarding the status will be prepared at least every six months.

Ensure that staff is trained in the implementation of the residential habilitation plan.

Administering, and/or presenting training classes virtually and in-person that are designed to improve on-the-job knowledge, skills and abilities of agency personnel;

Serving as a primary administrator in the Statewide Learning Management System;

Assisting with developing new curriculum;

Preparing lesson plans for classes conducted;

Evaluating classes for effectiveness and potential improvements;

Preparing and disseminating training announcements;

Reviewing environmental studies and other project documentation and making recommendations to higher level management;

Interpreting and applying environmental regulations and requirements;

Reviewing and conducting environmental technical analyses;

Assisting with public involvement activities; and

Advising other areas within the Department on environmental rules and regulations and assisting with the development of policies and procedures.
