Gas Turbine Mechanical Engineer Jobs

Leads the activities of project proposals, including the development of scope, functions, interrelationship, integration, physical solution definition, cost estimation, etc.

Leads project execution for project proposals, initiatives, studies, and continuous improvement of solutions and problem solvers.

Plans, schedules, and provides work direction for the preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence, and related data.

Ensures efficiency, adequacy, and conformance to overall objectives of challenging engineering problems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, experienced in creating and presenting technical reports and responding to clients’ technical questions

Strong sense of urgency and ability to identify and manage technical risks

Ability to understand and communicate customer requirements

Plan and follow project engineering basic design phase and coordinate with Hydraulic de

Engineering degree or equivalent including power systems and power electronics subjects

Able to work to deadlines under pressure whilst maintaining the safety, quality and engineering integrity of the solution

Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software with input from other project management personnel.

Prepare monthly cost projections using information generated from project management systems and prepare quarterly cash flow projections.

Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent

Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

Manage document control; receive and log in new issue drawings and other contract documents; maintain document control log.

Manage and support project team including direct reports and others as needed

Perform material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors, and torque wrenches

Perform machining and welding operations for making various parts for lab and shop training equipment

Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs as needed

Basic understanding of Engineering principles and the ability to utilize these skills

Experience with concept and detail design principles

Gas turbine design and analysis experience

Experience using Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) software to perform detailed modal and structural analysis

10+ years relevant mechanical design work experience
