Apply learning principles from school rotation in the workplace.

Assist with pre-delivery setup and installation on all makes and models of Caterpillar equipment and allied products.

Learn to write service reports that accurately document activities.

Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

Forklift experience a plus, but not a requirement

Experience in a similar position a preference

Applies undercoating to company vehicles

Washes and details company vehicles and trucks

Uses various types of cleaning equipment and solutions

Operates forklift and other material handling equipment as needed

Maintain manufacturer training certifications as well as specific & up- to - date knowledge on the product and services available.

Obtain a high level of motivation and energy with strong customer service skills.

Minimum of 3 years Automotive Service experience.

Current ASE / MFG. certifications is a plus.

Possess a strong desire for continuing education in area of responsibility.

HSA / FSA Health Plan

McLane pays for class and licensing to obtain CDL-A (As much as a $6,000 value).

Schedule: typical schedule Monday-Friday with am 8am start time, shifts usually last 8-9hours, while in the Academy.

Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.

Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.

Operates truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.

Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.

Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.

Must have Strong Computer skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

1-2 years of Sales-Marketing experience preferred but we will train the right candidates.

Equipment Dealership or transportation experience is an advantage.
