Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Monitors the effective operation of security, fire alarm, and energy management systems to assure full operational condition;

Other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Good knowledge of the geography and layout of college facilities and surrounding areas;

Employee/Dependent Tuition Benefit (CCC only)

Reports such conditions to supervision for resolution;

Qualifications For a Public Safety Officer

18 years of age or older

Ability to stand walk or stand for long periods of time

Access to a working phone and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening upon hire

full-time Public Safety Officers - All Shifts

FEMA Emergency Management Institute Certification

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements

Knowledge of occupational safety, and driver safety

Knowledge of root cause analysis principles for accident and incident investigations

Knowledge of pertinent regulations, standards, guidance, and industry best practices including, but not limited to OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, FTA, and FDOT

Transit Safety and Security Program Certification
