At least one year of experience in a medical or related field

Skilled in the laboratory animal sciences field and experience performing laboratory animal-related duties.

American Associate for Laboratory Science (AALAS) technician certification or ability to obtain certification within 18 months of start date.

Oversight and disinfection of environmental conditions for animal rooms and support areas in the assigned animal facilities.

Report and document changes, including animal health, diet, and environment.

Utilize/mix chemicals necessary for sanitation of rooms and equipment.

Daily observation of all assigned animals and documentation of those observations, along with daily room maintenance and animal log documentation.
