Summary of Job Duties:
The Research Technician will keep track of and maintain laboratory supplies (including ordering and keeping inventory of what is released). This position will maintain electronic records of laboratory inventories (orders reagents and supplies).
Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED plus one (1) year of experience performing tests in a research laboratory required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree.
  • At least one year of experience in a medical or related field
Additional Information:
Responsibilities;
  • Aid in the maintenance of reagent inventory and SDS (safety data sheets) used in the laboratory
  • Assist with skeletal analysis as requested by PI.
  • May perform other duties as asssigned.
  • Work with Principal Investigator (PI) to help analyze research experiments
  • Assist in the maintenance of animal colonies (genotyping etc.)
  • Arranging appropriate disposal of sharps, chemicals and biohazard waste
  • Making stock reagents, media and buffers.
Salary Information:
$15 per hour ($31,200/ year)
