Assist in the efficient processing of Title Insurance transactions while ensuring accuracy and timely service to the Closing Attorney’s office.

Examines county records and determines the current land ownership and legal description

Searches property records for conveyances, encumbrances, and other instruments

Meet various project deadlines as provided by Project Managers and/or client needs

Provide professional progress reports to Project Managers and/or clients on the status of your title research, either verbally or in writing

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Extract relevant information as it relates to an assigned tract and/or owner from a large number of instruments

Prepare runsheets, ownership reports, ownership chains, or other reports deemed necessary in Microsoft Excel using PLM and/or client-approved templates

Conduct online or in-county title research using PLM and client-authorized courthouse resources

Comprehensive knowledge of the Land Records Information System and the ability to interpret data retrieved from the computer system

Perform take down exams for company’s affiliated home building division transactions.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with land registration procedures, including Land Court Guidelines

Title Examiner II Additional Requirements:

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS FOR TITLE EXAMINER I :

Knowledge of court procedures and practice

Reviews and prepares abstracts and narratives of real estate titles and other title documents, records, and filings;

Reviews and approves documents presented for registration, interacting with the court’s Registered Land Districts, attorneys, and the public;
