Experience: 5 years of experience in a Nursing Leadership role.

Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Masters Degree in Nursing, Health Administration or related field.

Certifications: Nurse Executive Certification and/or FACHE.

Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in State of employment.

Lead patient needs assessment, nursing diagnosis, and clinical management coordination.

Demonstrated experience with scheduling and ensuring staffing levels meet all requirements.

Develop policies and procedures which reflect current, evidence-based nursing practice standards, consistent with regulatory agency requirements.

Consult with managers and staff on patient care issues, providing advisory solutions.

Ensure ongoing staff adherence to care standards through training and education.

Must possess detailed knowledge of hospital nursing operations

5+ years of demonstrated successful leadership in an acute-care hospital environment (For-profit experience preferred)

Must be proficient in written and verbal communication skills

Maintaining necessary regulatory and compliance approvals and quality accreditations

Partnering with physicians who use, or will use, the hospital

Assisting in planning new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenue

Ability to manage multiple priorites, organize tasks, and maintain control of work flow.

Skill in negotiation and conflict resolution.

Experience in strategic planning and the preparation, implementation and monitoring of large operating budgets.

Directs and manages inpatient services continuous effective operation, quality improvement activities, and integration into the overall mission.

Develops strategies and outcomes that are geared to meet or exceed the patient’s experience.

Possesses an exceptional understanding of inpatient processes and policies, patient flow, patient care coordination, and physician relationships.

5+ years related experience including 3-5 years’ management and/or leading others.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & PRIMARY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

Minimum Required Education: BSN degree, MSN degree (preferred)

Collaborate with finance and site leadership to design and achieve budget-revenue targets.

Achievement of clinical outcomes, productivity/outcomes measure, and adherence to nursing practice standards.

Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in clinical, management and leadership roles within hospital operations.

Communication and Relationship Management: Develops effective working relationships with key stakeholders and operational leaders.

Manages patient care processes to ensure optimal utilization management practices.

Master's degree in nursing or related field required (Health Administration, Business, Public Health, or management).

Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Addresses and manages conflict in a constructive and productive manner.

Provide administrative direction to management staff within areas of responsibility including supporting plan development, priority-setting, decision-making, and professional development.

Participates in community activities on behalf of the hospital. Assists in community health events and education as needed.

Academic health system experience required

Experience working in a Magnet Hospital

National Nursing Certification in Field of Specialty
