Applies engineering principles to develop mechanical, electronic, or chemical products that meet customer technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements.

Conducts various forms of modeling (mathematical, 3D, etc.) to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible.

Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes.

May also be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment.

Effectively balance multiple projects, responsibilities, and tasks simultaneously

Proficient mechanical aptitude and polymer materials knowledge

Detail oriented with proficient planning skills, initiative, and accountability

Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with domestic and international teammates

Computer aided engineering skills including solid modeling, simulation programs and advanced mathematical modeling and analysis programs

Competent computer database, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing abilities
