Teacher – Virtual Learning – World Language Jobs

Exhibits knowledge of performance-based instruction and assessment

Prepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent

Works with parents/guardians in all aspects of the student’s educational program

Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing

0-1 year classroom experience required; High School teaching experience preferredÂ

Prepares and plans for instruction of Spanish classes Vertical teams with FCS Spanish Middle School feeder teacher

Participate in a unique educational opportunity.

Promote a positive learning environment that encourages students to actively engage in their learning.

Ensure content and assignments are aligned with the New York State Learning Standards/Assessments and meet student needs.

Provide substantive interaction with students using flexible, individualized, and best practice online instruction.

Communicate goals for the course and discuss changes or additional goals with each student as needed throughout the course.

One-hour video class sessions will be scheduled twice per week. Additional video sessions may be scheduled at the teacher’s discretion.

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of education from a regionally accredited college or university.

Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.

Hold or be eligible for a Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) professional teaching certificate appropriate to area of assignment.
