Teacher – Virtual Learning – World Language

Questar III BOCES announces a part-time, stipend based, World Language teacher position to serve students in our Virtual Learning Academy (VLA). The Questar III VLA is an innovative synchronous online instructional program that supports our regional school district students in a remote learning environment. All NYS Certified World Language teachers are welcome to apply.

Teacher Responsibilities include:

• Ensure content and assignments are aligned with the New York State Learning Standards/Assessments and meet student needs.
• Promote a positive learning environment that encourages students to actively engage in their learning.

• One-hour video class sessions will be scheduled twice per week. Additional video sessions may be scheduled at the teacher’s discretion.
• Provide substantive interaction with students using flexible, individualized, and best practice online instruction.
• Communicate goals for the course and discuss changes or additional goals with each student as needed throughout the course.
