Develop, maintain and ship technical elements with the support of your mentor, manager, and team members

You are excited about an in person summer work experience

You have experience working with databases (e.g., AWS, SQL, etc.)

You have proficient experience working with at least 1 object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Kotlin, etc.)

You have experience writing clean code, working with version control, and doing unit testing.

At least 1 previous Software Engineering internship or equivalent relevant experience

Knowledge and experience with big data technologies and distributed systems.

Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications

High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities

Build new features that touch hundreds of millions of people around the world

Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems

Build the next-generation monetization platform to help millions of customers grow their businesses

AI/CG/ML/AR knowledge and development experience

Experience in building or utilizing AIGC or LLM technologies

Experience in performance optimization for mobile

Investigate and build cutting edge AI features for TikTok's camera effect platform

Build SDK that houses AI technologies and high-performance graphics rendering engine

Design and implement software architecture and frameworks for camera and effect processing pipelines

BS or MS student in Computer Science or a related technical background involving software/system engineering, or equivalent working experience.

Good programming experience with at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.

Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, Memcache/Redis.

Experience with video processing and delivery technology will be considered as a bonus.

Familiar with Unix/Linux operating systems.

Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Refining features into smaller, manageable tasks

Experience building a tech product in its early stages

3rd or 4th year student* (we care more about skill than year)

Experience with Node.js, React, TypeScript and/or JavaScript

Empathy for user experience and desire to improve it
