Summer Intern Data Analyst Jobs

Proficiency in SQL, Python, database management, and ETL processes, particularly in dealing with ambiguous large-scale datasets

Education: MS+ with concentration in quantitative discipline - Stats, Math, Comp Sci, Engineering, Econ, Quantitative Social Science, or similar discipline

Skills in handling diverse datasets from various origins to extract valuable business insights are essential

Excellent oral and written communication skills since interaction with senior-level management will be required

Working knowledge of the following:

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, Snowflake, Looker, Jira/Confluence, Azure DevOps, and/or Fivetran is a plus

Assist the data team with developing and automating business processes for data aggregation, cleaning, and general maintenance

Ensures the integrity of the quality management system when changes are made

Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.

Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service

Experience designing, building, and maintaining web pages.

Strong written and oral communication skills

Assess complex problem s through a hypothesis-based approach.

Co nduct primary and secondary research to drive to critical insights.

Create and utilize analytic tools (e.g., forecast models) to support key decision-making.

Communicate recommendations to clients to inform strategy and maximize value.

Pursuing a life sciences undergraduate degree with a graduation date of Summer 202 5

Utilize hands-on learning and experience to leverage new technology to help drive business strategies while developing an analytical skill set

Build leadership skills in the professional setting through meaningful interaction with business leaders

This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2024.

Must be continuing in the same course of study of the most recent degree following completion of the internship

Cultivate relationships with fellow interns and associates through extensive networking activities

Harness cloud-based tools and platforms to explore structured and unstructured data

Pursing and advanced degree in quantitative field such as: statistics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, data analytics, finance or accounting

Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to decompose complex problems into manageable pieces

Knowledge in equity factor model and fundamental research, preferred but not required

Collect useful data related to the target industries and companies

Explore and analyze data related to Research projects

Experience with any Identity and access management platforms

Document, and implement test cases for assessments, based on requirements

General knowledge of Information Technology practices

Strong analytical skills and ability to extrapolate information from business partners

This internship opportunity will begin Summer 2023

20 hours/week during the semester work dedication and 40 hours/week during summer and breaks

Experience with Alteryx and it's advanced capabilities a plus.
