Apply data science concepts to an assortment of tasks ranging from engineering, marketing, finance, and business data.

Gain valuable exposure to a variety of technical skills: R/R-Shiny, Python, SQL (ANSI), VB and a business intelligence (BI) tool.

Report details back to manager and stake holders.

Experience with any programming in general (for example: Java, Python, C, R, Matlab, HTML, VB, etc.)

If not a first time student, applicant must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher.

Selected applicants must provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or printout of enrollment/GPA from MyJSU.

F-1 Student Visa or J-1 Exchange Student Visa.

A well-rounded skill set including strong time-management, communication, teamwork skills, as well as a proficiency in MS Excel.

Specific Job Duties & Tasks:

Prior experience or good working knowledge of the Adobe Suite Products (e.g. Photoshop and Illustrator) and Figma

Ability to support UX team efforts to communicate business requirements into relevant designs.

Basic understanding of the user centered design process along with experience with user research, UI design, interaction design, and usability testing.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Portfolio of design projects to show skill and background as a UX Designer

Assist in preparing low and medium fidelity UI designs and/or prototypes using design documents, acceptance criteria, and other sources.

Academic transcript(s) – an unofficial copy is okay

Master’s degree appropriate for the discipline or training and experience in the field to be qualified to teach specific courses.
