Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Demonstrates the ability to competently work in general and specialized areas of pharmacy practice.

Participates in the training of new employees.

Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner.

Policies and procedures are followed consistently.

Required: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

Required: Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia

For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied: $142,438.40 - $196,560.00 annually.

One year of training and/or experience which demonstrates knowledge in the following areas:

Mathematics skills to compute dosages and rate of drug use.

Experience working in a large health facility or hospital.

Experience communicating and/or interacting with behavioral health specialists, nurses and other health care professionals.

Experience advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities, and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable, and underrepresented populations.

Pre-employment Drug Test: Candidates who are offered employment at the Oregon State Hospital must satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug test.

Performs all duties of Retail Pharmacy Technician 1, plus additional responsibilities as designated expert/Point of Contact (POC) for specific pharmacy programs
