Solid Waste Manager Jobs in Texas

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

Assist as helper on knuckle boom or rear load garbage truck and loose-leaf collection using vacuum leaf machine.

Collects solid waste on assigned route and guides the equipment operator in avoiding damages or hazards.

Locates solid waste route by scouting ahead to ensure efficiency.

Follows safety procedures mandated by federal and state regulations.

Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.

Manage a small team of consultants

Manage project loads and assign all incoming projects appropriately

Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance the client experience

Successfully obtaining a valid Georgia Driver's License.

Have the ability to meet Solid Waste Operator job specifications.

Have the ability to be assigned to a vehicle service route on a daily basis.

Performs related unskilled tasks; shovels, collect trash, and road material

Assists with yard waste collection and empties contents at a designated location.

Performs general work in support of Special Events.

Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Ability to Perform Repetitive Manual Labor Tasks

Demonstrate full control and knowledge of the vehicle and shifting of nine or ten speed manual transmission

Loading trucks including tarping and inspecting for weight requirements;

Four (4) years of equipment operation/driving experience

The following are minimum qualifications necessary for entry into the classification:

Operate and maintain 18 wheel tractor/trailer used to transfer refuse, green waste and recycling products to landfill, mulching and recycling centers

Unload and dispose of materials in appropriate landfill, disposal, mulching and/or recycling locations
