Sr Solder Assembler Jobs

Candidate will be required to pass basic English skills assessment

On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period

Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping

Able to read, comprehend and speak English, and elementary-level understanding of numerical functions

Adhere to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing

Must be able to work with minimum supervision by following detailed manufacturing instructions

Experience with wire runs and adds between components and or PCB designated locations

Experienced using Leaded and RoHS chemistries

Fine motor skills, dexterity and accuracy with continuous focus and visual attention required

Good communication and writing skills

Perform assembly and soldering of a variety of components to a PCB

Verification of workmanship completed insuring each product meets the quality workmanship standards of IPC-610

Documentation: Candidate has previous experience writing "How To" documentation or procedures.

DevTest Environment: Can work in a DevTest Environment with POC, EVT, DVT and PVT Equipment.

Solder: Can remove and install 0402 or smaller components on PCB without damage.

Solder Advance: Can re-flow multi-pin SMD using hot-air solder gun.

Oscilloscope Advanced: Can perform Data Eye Diagram Capture & Analysis (PCIe).

Recognizes points of failure in the flow of production work, and recommends solutions to management.

Demonstrates working knowledge of specialization in assembly and fabrication of assigned product areas.

Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.

May require technical certification of Associate Degree.

Generally, 5+ years’ experience in area of responsibility.

Demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiative in your daily activities, with excellent inter-personal and communication skills both oral and written.

Electronics assembly and inspection experience with in-process soldering (both through hole and surface mount), rework/repair, wire attach, and mechanical assembly preferred.

Hand soldering experience is required.

Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.

IPC-610, J-STD-001 and 7711/7721 certification preferred.

Good written and verbal communication skills.
