Show Mechanical Designer Group Lead Jobs

Act as communication liaison between radio programming team, show talent, and TV master control during live show. Assist in clock management.

Meet daily with morning show team to develop and plan upcoming shows.

Develop day-to-day run of show and distribute to appropriate parties.

Communicate with leadership on decisions for which segments are compelling to post-produce for distribution.

Strategize with corporate marketing team to best utilize content on social media outlets.

Strategize with Circle to best utilize content on network platforms.

Experience with managing large amounts of 3d data and optimizing assets for documentation.

Financially Responsible – Manage money in a way that is productive and in the best interest of the client and company.

Will be expected to direct other internal team members for deadlines and project milestones.

During construction, oversees contractors, develops in-field solutions and follow-up documentation when needed.

Responsible for releasing project meeting documentation and organization of project server files both internal and external.

Participate in drawings reviews, shop visits, site walks, if/when needed.

Demonstrated project management skills such as resource loading, schedule development, multi objective decision analysis, budgeting and risk management.

Advanced degree in engineering or engineering management is preferred

Identify and drive technology and innovation initiatives of mechanical engineering and design workflows that improve system performance, efficiency, or capabilities.

Direct engineers and design teams through project requirements.

Ten (10) plus years of engineering experience working in theme park industry or related field.

Diverse knowledge of animatronics, mechanical systems (mechatronics), controls, robotics and special effects/projection equipment.

Constraint management, ISO, systematic problem solving, BBS.

Lean Manufacturing background within a plant and operational managerial experience from a production / manufacturing setting is preferred.

Knowledge and practical experience of lean manufacturing principles, MRP is preferred.

Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.

Manage department priorities and other duties/projects as assigned.

Provides technical guidance to project teams in support of the design, development and delivery of themed entertainment Ride/Show systems.

Generates, edits and updates Ride/Show engineering specifications.

Performs technical analyses to assist in determining feasibility of Ride/Show systems to mitigate risk for project delivery.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of Disney’s design standards and Electronic Data Management System, SmarTeam etc.

Provide designs and drawings in Solidworks and AutoCAD, and release them in Electronic Data Management Systems (EDMS)

Strong experience with CAD (Solidworks) and high level drafting skills

Ability to proactively solve problems, adjust scope, and update management

Develop and negotiate scope, design requirements, budget and schedule from high level story descriptions and artwork for sophisticated projects

Minimum 10 years of extensive mechanical design experience to coordinate and drive a culture of technical excellence
